This Privacy Policy explains how Sweatmates ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Sweatmates mobile application (the "App").
By using Sweatmates, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, name, and profile details.
- Partner Information: When you invite a partner, we collect the partner's name and connection status.
- SweatCam Photos: Images you upload during workout check-ins. Photos are private between partners and never publicly accessible.
- Weekly Goals & Wagers: The number of workouts you set and the wager type (e.g., "1 romantic favor"). Wagers are non-monetary and stored only to display inside the app.
- Saved Workout Locations: Addresses or place names you add to receive location-based reminders.
1.2 Location Information
If you enable location-based workout reminders, Sweatmates uses your device's location services to detect when you arrive at a workout location you've saved. We do not continuously track your location or store a history of where you've been. Apple's operating system handles location detection privately and only notifies Sweatmates when you arrive at a location you've saved. You can disable this at any time in your device Settings.
1.3 Payment Information
Payments are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
We do not have access to your full payment information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Manage your Sweatmates account
- Connect you with your partner
- Track weekly goals, streaks, and history
- Display SweatCam check-ins
- Send reminders, notifications, and partner updates
- Improve app performance
- Analyze feature engagement for product improvement
- Provide customer support
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
3. How We Store & Protect Information
- All user data is securely stored using Firebase.
- Access is permission-restricted.
- Communication is encrypted using HTTPS.
- Photos are stored securely and are never publicly accessible.
4. Sharing of Information
We only share information with:
- Firebase and other service providers for analytics, authentication, and storage.
- Your partner, solely for displaying mutually shared progress.
We do not share data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
5. Your Choices
You may:
- Update or delete your account at any time
- Disable push notifications
- Request deletion of your data via: support@sweatmates.app
6. Children's Privacy
Sweatmates is not intended for anyone under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally.
The updated date will always be displayed at the top.
